Dietary Information

 

No salt or pepper

No sugar, sweets or chocolate

No pork (minimum 2 weeks before, one month after)

No red meat

No oils (if you must use oil, use olive oil very sparingly)

No animal fats (lard, etc)

No alcohol or other recreational drugs

No fizzy drinks (including “diet” sodas, as these contain NutraSweet/Aspartame and other sweeteners)

No energy drinks, no non-alcoholic beer

No seasoning (white pepper, spices, etc)

No chillies or other hot peppers

No ice, ice cream, or ice cold drinks

No dairy produce

 

Other Restrictions

 

No sexual activity (including masturbation)

No artificial chemicals (in toiletries, perfumes, etc)

You must not be taking any prescription medicines, including supplements. SSRIs are strongly contraindicated. If you were taking an SSRI or other antidepressant, please give the medication ample time to clear from your body before taking ayahuasca.

You must not be pregnant.

Ayahuasca is an energetically demanding experience, and there are certain restrictions and dietary rules you are strongly advised to follow to assure that the medicine is able to do the work it needs to do in your body.
